downtownfood Continues to Evolve

Each time I visit downtownfood, I notice small changes - they are constantly evolving, paying increased attention to presentation and how their food is served. 

Fortunately and unfortunately, this means that sometimes our old favourites may find themselves replaced, as is the case with the new spring menu making its debut next Tuesday. On the new menu, you will no longer find the delicious braised beef ravioli served in a broth of miso, truffle and foie gras with shaved truffle served table side. That being said, I know that we can expect to see innovative new dishes coming soon.

During my most recent visit, I was treated to a sneak peak of the  chocolate marquise, a fab new dessert item on the spring menu. The hazelnut crunch layer in the marquise was perfection. I’m looking forward to trying more of the new menu soon (and the rest of the desserts).

Tip: Looks like there will be a good deal coming up on Good Friday before the new menu is in place. Catch it while you can!
